We will be staying in Lake Placid from October 4-11. On the nights of the 7th and 8th we will be staying at the Mirror Lake Inn. All other days will be spent at our Airbnb, which is up off Peninsula Road.

Yes! It is about a 10 minute walk down Main Street. If your hotel is on main street, then everything is within walkable distance!

Yes! We’ve had great Airbnb experience, but if you’re looking to have a lake/Mountain View and want to be within walking distance of the action, hotels on Main Street would be a better accommodation. There are some Airbnb’s on Main Street and others that are a little more secluded in a pretty woodsy areas.

The days are crisp & cool. You can expect the daytime Highs to be around 55 to 65°F. At night the Low’s could go down as far as 35°. The mornings may display a beautiful foggy lake. The weather is unpredictable as we may have sunny days, cloudy days, or even rainy days. Definitely bring a warm jacket!
